Hi,

I am looking for a rear diff for my 2.8 Z3. Potentially could consider it with the rear subframe for a complete overhaul.

Thanks!

Very expensive item on the Z3 as most are LSD's.

What's wrong with your current diff, they're easy to rebuild.

There’s a backlash in the diff all rattle and loose feels there.

Ask if the internals have been rebuilt. Good price.

Diff is from 2.8 but the subframe is from 6cylinder 2.0 . Will the subframe by same as mine?

Apparently 2.0 subframe and “ wide body” diff but this could be pre face lift wide body 2.0 and not mine lsd from 2.8

If the 3.45 diff ratio on the tag is correct then this is an open differential from a 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0, no LSD. If it was a LSD, it would have a 3.46 ratio.

Standard LSD for a manual 2.8 has 3.15 ratio.
This would make sense as the subframe is from 2.0 and mine diff is and 3.15 part number 33101428439 so it’s a different one. Which is a shame as would use a subframe with a refurbished diff for mine…
