There is a very nice 3.0 Z3 on Autotrader. A burgundy type colour with extended red and black leather. Reg is X3** L**. Does anyone know this car or is it a forum member please. Sold mine last year and might be looking for another. Thanks.

Thanks. As you know sold my Z3 and not getting much luck with Z4. My thinking is that being such a nice looking car the guy may well be a forum member.
Hold out John, you'll find your Z4. You sold the Z3 for a reason, going back will be a mistake IMO, I think you may struggle to find one that was as good as your last one.

I agree with Brian H. It is hard to find the right car if you are looking for a specific specification with a set budget. We are going to change ours for an E89 in July and have limited it down to 2 models either the 28i or 35i but then you add the Mileage and specification we want combined with the price and age of car and we can find 1 35i but wrong colour and 3 28i but again the wrong combo.

"Your perfect" is always going to be hard to find. Compromise is key. Almost perfect is out there if your prepared to bend a little.

Teaching granny I know - As soon as you stray from black interior your limiting yourself dramatically. Chances of finding the right spec, colours, mileage, quality and price are much reduced. It becomes a huge waiting game. Fix one ore two or even more of those and decide what you will take on the others. If they are all fixed it might be a much longer wait - there simply aren't enough of them out there. Their chances of getting your combination are slim to nothing.
Just got to keep watching every day and it might be more than 6-12 months before yours comes up.

Apologies for not coming back sooner. Been in Spain.
I started off wanting a non silver, non grey, non black Z4 with non matching upholstry. Got to be 3.0i. Around 65000 miles and fairly local. No costing more than 7.5k. Having said all that I am realising that choice of colour is limiting me so have changed that view. Still looking for contrasting upholstery. I think that 65000 miles or thereabouts is achievable and all for a max of 7.5k. Perhaps the most limiting factor is wanting the car to be local Not really into say going to Bristol to look at a car. Still looking..............

Maybe expand your search to UK dealers country wide.
Most will deliver a car for a reasonable fee. I was looking for a Defender 110 and was not getting anywhere, but saw one online at a dealer near London.
I had to accept their description over the phone, but it was in their interest to be accurate as the car was payment on delivery with a refundable deposit having been paid.
Their driver brought the Land Rover up from london (over 200 miles) and it was exactly as described.
The delivery cost was £200.
A Land Rover Defender is probably the last vehicle you'd normally buy sight unseen, apart from maybe a Ferrari.
Although when l bought my Ferrari Mondial t some years age that was sight unseen as well, from a dealer in Kent.
Again it was payment on delivery, although the delivery cost was £400.

why is the mileage important? surely condition is what you should be looking at?
colour is going to be hugely limiting as there are only a few non black / silver / grey colours apart from individuals which are super pricey
