I went for Avon ZV7 this time £225 fitted. Similar sort of money to the Hankooks but many on here run Avons so I thought I'd give them a go.
I like the Avon ZV7's as well as they are excellent in the wet although recently switched to Falken Ziex ZE10 which are also A rated in the rain with a lower db rating then the the Avon's. Both have D rating on Fuel but given the mileage I do I don't really give that much though about that rating. Another good one seems to be the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 that gets a B rating on the Fuel.

I've been looking for some Genuine mud flaps for my Z4 for a while, then out of the blue I am contacted by someone with a full set for sale, Genuine front and rear with the original purchase invoice, I couldn't believe my luck, well I jumped at the chance, they are so rare and the price, well quite frankly I literally stole them,

it didn't take me long to fit them.

I know they are not to every ones taste, I like them and that's all that matters. I think they look very subtle and not too in your face.

Result.....................................

Replacement Alternator for the Z4, sourced on ebay and that was the cheapest I found, usual online Factors were eye wateringly expensive.
£139.99
Good communication from the seller and quick delivery, well pleased.Z4 Alternator.jpg

I bought something not just for my Z but I hope it will be handy for many jobs back home.

Also another Ryobi item which I intended buying over here but the price in the USA made it a none starter. Here upwards of $225 but I got it for £85.

I had it delivered to our neighbour 2 doors up.

Just watched a video of one being used, looks better than I thought it would. It was just getting water out of a bucket. Should be even better joined directly to a tap.
I mainly use a watering can 🤣

That looks a decent piece of kit Tony.
I bought one of these for cleaning the mountain bike - we live in a coach house with no downstairs tap, plus I can take it with me so I can wash the bike straight after a ride before it drops mud all over the roof of the car.....
Mobi V-17 Portable Bike Pressure Washer | Cleaning Equipment | Wiggle
Having tried it with a 2 litre bottle I can say that it uses it pretty quickly, but a couple of bottles in the boot would work. Or park near a stream.

Second hand abs asc module and pump. I'm hoping swaping the module over will allow me to send my one off for repair and still drive to work. Or possibly get a local bmw specialist to code the new module to my car. Given its over 20 years old I'm thinking best to get my original reconditioned as the new one if working will probably fail at some point.
The hardest part of removing the abs module seems to be removing the electrical connector.

Interesting as mine is currently in garage for ABS module to be repaired (pump ok), car obviously OTR.
Don't have ASC (or DSC) so likely a little different?
I'm hoping it's just the module on mine that is faulty but at least I now have a spare pump. The modules going bad is a fairly common problem on cars of a certain age.

Saw this at Wally World and thought it might be useful.

I got this to apply to my new wheels on the insides of the barrels when I get them.
