After almost 4 years of great reliability from the old girl ('02 Z3 2.2i) I've finally had to call the RAC to get me out of a fix.
Pulled up in a car park and once I'd engaged the handbrake, noticed a lack of throttle response. Switched her on and off a few times and concluded that she starts totally normally and idles smoothly as ever. It's just that the throttle seems... Like it's totally disconnected.
She cut out briefly twice yesterday, too, but on both occasions I could use idle (well, sub-2000 rpm) to maneouvre to a safe place, and she was subsequently good to get me the 3 or 4 miles I needed.
Any quick thoughts while I await the orange mechanic?
