Hi all,

I'm after a nice 3.0cc manual car.

Estoril blue, grey, white, red metallic.

Might consider other colours but not black.

I'll pay a good price for a good car.

Send me a PM if you have one.

Tim

Yes, the prices are on the way up for sure.

I'm not sure they'll go too much higher, still too many around to go silly.

I don't get the prices for the Z3m's, 20k buys a lovely Cayman S,

My Sunny only cost me £8k a year ago but the other prices are far to high and the Coupes are just hideous prices

Still looking.

Something under 50,000 miles preferred, must be a very nice example.

Mileage doesn't mean a lot if it has been looked after, I think mine is a better car now with 116,000 pn the clock than when I bought it at 21,000.

I know they are good for lots of miles but I want a car that's not corroded underneath, or in the engine bay.

So I'm after a car that's been garaged for most of it's life and not used through the winters.

I know I'll have to wait for the right car to come along, but I don't mind waiting.

I saw the 2.2cc black one pop up on Ebay, Jap import that's almost like new underneath. I'm after one like that but manual, 3.0cc, and not black.

Each to their own but contrary to your statement earlier there are not lots of 3.0's about at all. There are 7 for sale on Autotrader nationally, 1 on pistonheads and 6 on ebay and that's without checking for duplicates. So if it was me and I really wanted a nice 3.0 I would be looking at every 3.0 that came up that wasn't a snotter. At 14+ years old at the youngest car condition is absolute king and mileage to a greater or lesser extend is nothing more than a number on the clock.

FYI my 3.0 has 125k on the clock and it is not corroded underneath or under the bonnet. Also the previous owner had it since 2008 and it has been a daily driver it's whole life and lived outside. I bought it in November last year and it still lives outside all year round. Although I don't really drive it in inclement weather anymore...

I purchased my 3.0 knowing she needed work and the price reflected this too. Got an amazing car and with the work still ongoing she's a pleasure to drive. The Euro run of 2000 miles in six days showed what these cars are capable of when given tlc.

So rather than look for a garage queen which might still need work as the rubber seals etc will crack if not flexed. Look for a great 3.0 and price the work accordingly.

You can tell a lot by the engine bay. And that's one very well preserved engine bay.

Titan Silver not my favourite colour either. But when it's that nice...
