Hi Z owners!

Happy to be part of the community 😁

Last year I became a proud owner of Z4 and I’ve rebuilded my 2.5i engine so now its running smooth as a butter.

I am from Slovenia and I love to drive on country roads 😎

But unfortunately I joined this group now after I tried to protect the roof motor and put it in the trunk…. It was working perfectly but now when it was moved the system started to scream/ has strange high pitch drilling sound last few seconds when roof closes and opens…
I cant wait to figure out the cause 😬

Hi from the UK. I also have a 2.5 e85 and have no idea if my roof motor has been relocated or not 🤷😂

Have you checked the hydraulic fluid level since you relocated it. It can be topped up by removing the screw plug at the top of the reservoir. Also make sure the hydraulic pipes are located in the underside of the pump to ensure they aren’t being starved of fluid
