hello

I bought my 2001 bmw z3 2.5 litre 5 speed manual in June 2011, been a great car never seen snow ,stored in heated garage , only seen rain 3-4 times

like to share things I have found out about my car and get advice if needed
 
I have had an ongoing problem when backing up into my underground tight parking spot , the engine would idle up and down and sometimes stall
I have cleaned my ICV twice, which is a 3-4 hour job...the other day I decided to loosen my rubber housing after my mass air flow sensor and with a can of throttle body cleaner with the straw attached , and engine running sprayed about 6 times about 1 sec or less sprays....it seemed to have made a difference ,its cleans the throttle body and ICV enough to have made a difference , its a easy thing to do and at least is a good bit of regular maintenance, you can do your self ...I have 107,000 miles on the engine it runs well.....hope this may help someone if they have a situation like this
