Hi all,

Just been doing some thinking about name badges for Horwood House to try and keep track of people. I think the following may be the easiest & most cost effective solution. I will create the badge on my trusty inkjet, and can distribute them at the hotel when people arrive. I looked at more intricate solutions, but they would work out rather expensive...

Should be able to do these for around £1.50 per badge. Would have Zorg logo, forum name and real first name on them.

Comments? I don't need to start on these for a couple of weeks, so plenty of time to discuss if needed.

I think it would be good for everyone to have one, not just the forum member but partners, SWMBO's, co-pilots, children & hangers on too.

I'm terrible with names, so this gives me a fighting chance of not offending most people... well, until the beer kicks in anyway!

There is another good idea Mark (badman gee) thought of. So nobody drinks and drives they hand there keys to him and he will give a ticket with a number on and when you want to collect your keys you give the ticket back, can you imagine that. :ymapplause: :ymparty: :beer

Just mocked this up quickly to give an idea of what I was thinking of. Basically the forum name & first name, so where there is a couple they can still be identified against a forum name (if that makes sense).

I will also bring some blanks along for those that haven't supplied me with first names as yet ;)

The avatar on the badge also helps place the person - also makes a talking point ~how did you pick that image?

Thanks for the suggestion Neil, but not everyone on here has an avatar specified. Need to keep them reasonably standard if possible, as it's going to take me long enough to produce the 60+ we need!

I've worked out with the cost of the badges, printer ink etc I should be able to make these for a maximum of £1.25 a badge. That works out better than my initial thought. I'll put a contribution tin at the hotel with the badges, and any profits to be split between MNDA and the site's up keep.

Badges arrived today, and I think I have everyones first name so will start production with plenty of time to spare! Possibly a first for me!

Great, Gary, Well done, but can you guess the deliberate mistake, I'm not sure Caroline will be pleased that Liam has a new partner already, never mind that they are of the male variety :ymdevil:
