Took advantage of the hot weather and held a quickly arranged run out for our Shed Whats App members, we met up at Merthyr at 11:00 and departed for some scenic roads at 11:15. Headed West then North through Penderyn passing the Distillery on the A4059 which has some stunning scenery and twisty road not to mention the sheep, one of which seems to own the oncomming lane of the road in one place!!
Re-joined the A470 for a short stretch then hooked a left towards Sennybridge on the A4215 then the A4067. Left at Sennybridge onto the A40 through Trecastle then right at Llywel onto the Military Roads towards Tirabad, stunning scenery as you head into the centre of the Beacons. Quick refreshment stop on one of the army pull off areas (stone car park). The Army kindly left two Portaloos on hand for those needing one.
Onwards via Tirabad and Llangammarch Wells onwards and tun left onto the B4519 then right on the right onto the A483 to Builth Wells. From there we headed along the A470 towards Llyswen then onto the A4079 to Three Cocks hanging a right onto the A438 then right into The Railway Garden Centre where we had Lunch. Dispersed to our respective home destinations around 4pm having had a very good day. Selection of pictures I managed to take.
