Four of us ventured out in the Bank Holiday traffic to attend The Old Railway Garden Centre Classic Car meet at Three Cocks near Hay on Wye. Phil from Cardiff met up with me and then headed up the Western Valley to meet up with Al and Gwyn who was in the area this weekend but hails from Shrewsbury. Nipped onto the Heads of the Valley road then peeled off and headed across the moors and down towards Brecon, Low lying morning mist as we decended and had to dodge a few sheep. Ran past Llangorse Lake and carried on to Three Cocks where we parked up and partook of our complementary hot drink and a Welsh cake. General natter and a walk around the garden centre. Following lunch we took off and paid a visit to the Talgarth Gliding Club where we had a very good chat with some club members and watched a few gliders launched with an areo tow. Off we went again and worked our way past some more reservoirs ending up at Merthy where we split to our respective home destinations. Dave from Bristol did put in appearance at the Garden Centre sans Zed as he had his mother and son in tow for a day out. All being well by next weekend we will have put paid to his air leaks on his 2.2. All in all we all had a very good day out, look forward to repeating this next year.
