Hi all,
In conjunction with this site and its FB page and with Garrys consent i will be trying to create a Zed community in Ireland, i think i have Stacey to blame for this one  thank you ohh wise one haha
The idea would be to get a group together, very much like what is happening in the UK and have meets and workshops etc, i feel a bit left out over here to be honest :nailbiting:
After a while i think we would also like to take a trip to the UK and meet up with our fellow Zeders and or have you guys come to Ireland for a meet
This is the plan anyway so i have created a FB page and posted an add on our Gumtree
http://www.gumtree.ie/a-activities-hobbies/dublin/z3-4-owners-club-ireland/1001259904050910292238409
hopefully this will get things moving and we can get a few more Irish folk to join .org and also have our own thing going on over here o_O

lets see how things go, thank you all for your support and i hope we can all meet up soon,
regards
Dave

I'm certainly behind you on this David, would be great to get the first Zed meetup in Ireland organised.

I'll try and setup a regional area forum in the next day or so (along with the one @Chipper3 requested a while back - hadn't forgotten!).

Love the GumTree way of promoting this Dave, great idea. Hope it pays dividends.

We were over in Ireland last August and must have passed pretty close by you on our way from The Tullamore Distillery back to Dublin for the ferry home. We were over for about 5 days (in the Z of course) driving around places such as Enniscorthy, Waterford, Cork, Killarney, Tralee, Limerick, Galway then back east via the home of my favourite Whisky.

Had a great time on what to us were (outside of Dublin) extremely empty roads that were a pleasure to drive on.

Hoping to get back over at the end of May for The Irish Open Golf which takes place in Newcastle, Co. Down. Assuming we do I'll drop you line and maybe we can get together.

Colin.

thanks for the support guys, much appreciated ;-)
@Chipper3 you certainly done the rounds there Colin, but picked up some of the best and beautiful parts of Ireland to visit :)
Keep in touch as to when you are thinking of coming over and we will for sure try and arrange a meet up, hopefully at that stage we will have a bit of a group together, look forward to it

Cheers Dave, What I saw of The Emerald Isle I thoroughly enjoyed and can't wait to get back there. Stayed in some great hotels and saw some fabulous places. :beer(need a darker version!!!)

I've been searching for places to stay in late May but I'm struggling to find anywhere closer than 20+ miles from Newcastle. The hunt continues!! I will let you know once the plans are finalised :)

Thanks, that explains a lot for me, as I have Irish Scottish and English on my Mom's side and we're all a bit crazy. James Charles fits the profile I think.
