Yes I know and I've been to see the Dr for medication to hopefully resolve the affliction :bashhead:

Anyway my 7th Z3 is here and it's an M44 produced June 1998 - it's only done 50k and spent all it's life on the south coast so condition wise it's mint. The alloys are genuine and it also has the ACS short shift gear change which were both an added bonus.

I'm resisting the urge to start a progress thread based on my previous form but I genuinely hope this one stays with me for a good long time.

No lights on the dash but the Creator C310+ has thrown up the following codes which I'd welcome the view of forum members on - the car runs and drives fine so wondering if I should get them sorted now or wait until the next service is due which will be October?

Before throwing parts at it clear the codes and then see if any come back, they could be old codes that were never cleared.
If the Camshaft sensor code returns then put a OEM brand replacement in, do not buy cheap ones, thats the same for any sensors on these cars.

They are the codes that returned after I cleared everything - what suprised me was the engine warning light isn't on. That's why I was thinking if I could wait until the service

Whatever the problem is may take a few driving cycles to set the EML again after clearing them.

My Z3 didn't put the EM light on when the Inlet cam sensor failed but did store a code.

I recently changed the cam sensor on my 3.0i and when I picked it up Sytner referred to it as a Pulse Generator.
When I search RealOEM for the 1.9 nothing comes up for Cam(shaft) sensor but there are 2 results for Pulse Generator.
One is referred to as just Pulse Generator for $76

The other as Pulse Generator, speedometer for $30

Anyone know how I can determine from the fault code which one I need?

As far as I'm aware the "Pulse Generator Speedometer" is mounted in the diff. casing. A camshaft sensor is another name for a pulse generator just the same as an ABS/wheel speed sensor is.

@Stevo7682 shows the correct sensor in his post.
The M44 engine takes the sensor with the long wire, the M43 Engine takes just the sensor with a socket that the loom plugs into.
Always replace with oem brand Bosch or Seimens do not buy cheap ones.
