So nice to see someone actually enjoying one of these. Recent prices have turned them into garage queens and collector items.
Yes, especially as it’s been really cold this week and roads are gritted.
Definitely no garage queen. 121k miles as of March 2022.

Didn't realise they were produced from 1999 - 2006 and the stats on that S62 engine look stronger than the S54.

With a worldwide production volume of just under 6k it looks like they only produced around 300 more units than the Z4M roadster.

The following is from Wikipedia regarding the hardtop:
Every car was shipped with a colour-matching metal hardtop with a rear defroster. Unlike many contemporary hardtops, which are provided for practical rather than stylistic considerations, the hardtop of the Z8 was designed from the outset to complement the lines of the car's styling.

I remember watching the Harry's Garage episode where he tested a blue one and thought it was right up my street. Nice for a lazy waft along some south of France roads!

Great cars, really feel special compared to other BMWs of the era. Sound great with a full exhaust system on too.

Oddly quite parts bin underneath and the only BMW for a very long time to come with an S engine but not have a BMW M VIN.

From memory. This is possibly one of several BMW still have in the private fleet.
