Z4MR build quality

Hi all
As per other posts I’m just on the lookout for a
Z4M roadster.

I spoke a family friend who works for a BMW main dealer (& has done for years), who mentioned something about the build of the car was not really strong enough for the power of the s54 and that sometimes additional ‘bracing’ welded underneath is required to keep things in check.

I’ve not heard this before or do I really believe BMW would produce an M car like this.

Is there any truth in this at all from genuine owners.

Never had any issues with mine not handling the power, perfect car for the S54 both on road and the multiple track days I used it for. Never heard any other owner complaining either that I can remember. Buy one, then maintain it properly considering its age such as replacing leggy suspension and bushes and you’ll see how good they are. Mine was still pulling strong on track days at 132k miles.
