Firstly big thanks for a great day tony t and shirl yesterday and to the new friends we meet
Carol z4 is now causing grief.
The hood will only go down with a helping hand, the motor makes the right noise but does not want to go until nearly pushed level with headrest.it will then go down on its own not always locking.
Returning up is no problem at moment but that could go wrong and then the problem is a problem.
Could some one advise to what to do or go to sort
Tony

Check to see if your roof motor is not under water, so I have read on here.
Will be some Z4 owners on soon with advice I am sure.

Hi tony .
As HT said could be the motor siezing up due to water ingress.
Its impossible to see as its covered by a plastic shroud .if thats the case you need it relocating to the boot after its been inspected /cleaned.the motor is sat inside the rear quarter panel on the passenger side .Access to it is by getting in the boot after removing parcel shelf and associated lifting mechanisim on the passenger side.you need to be smaller bendy and have long arms .ha ha.
Thers a couple of guys that will do this for £80 one on the wirral and another up north at a place called tow law.south of durham

Hi Des, the man from the Wirral is Mike, I can't seem to be able to tag him so maybe he's not on here any more.

Tony.

ps. I will pm you his mobile number if he's ok with that.
