I've been following the threads on the dreaded Z4 e89 roof faults for some time now but unfortunately my fault seems to be different.I HAVE NO FAULT CODES.
So it all originated from water in the trunk,when you pressed roof down button all that would happen is the windows would go down and red light on dash.
The Roof motor was heavily corroded so replaced it with one from Ebay £450.The main fuse for the pump had blown so replaced the distribution board so the motor now operates.I also replaced the CTM got second hand one with same part number but the fault i have is the same with both modules.I have communication with switches/sensors/valves/relays,I've checked wiring at all the suspect areas and have continuity.So the roof shells are packed on top of each other the boot is open when I press button to open,the roof shells try to open but fall back down again if I try to close the boot closes but both roof shells do nothing.Any thoughts?
Ps This is a 4 valve pump.
