Hi Guys,
Not posted on here for a while but I have had a problem meaning I now can't drive home from my parents. I was investigating why my blower doesn't work and the famous final stage resister you can't get any more. Anyway I took the radio and blower control out to check if the potentiometers were working properly as I wasn't receiving the control voltage in to the FSR. Having put it back together the car will no longer start. I thought perhaps I have tripped the immobiliser but haven't found anything online to solve my problems so I thought I would ask here. I have tried leaving the battery unattached for a while to try reset the system but still nothing. The car cranks but doesn't fire up.

Any ideas?

Got the breakdown guys out. They couldn't fix it. It has an immobiliser fault and also it says failed to connect to ECU, they suggested I take it to BMW

Its not blown any main fuses has it, seems odd unless somethings become unplugged/ disconnected by accident when in behind the dash.:(

You were right BMW said it was fuses. It's a bit annoying as I looked at them all and the breakdown guy tested them all. £192 for BMW to tell me that
