Evening all,
New to this place.
I have got what I think is the old VANOS rattle from my M54 lump.

Having had a listen closely I can hear the source of the rattle is from the front of the engine shown in red.
Is it likely that this could indeed been the VANOS rattle, or is there potentially something else in this area that might be the cause?
Is it something that is a cause for immediate concern?
