Thanks for the link. Unfortunately the condition is too far gone for me.
The problem is ready to go seats are very hard to find. And very expensive.

I restore seats and those would be in a desirable condition for me as there is no obvious holes and they are straightforward to recolour.

That's a pretty good price with the door cards. They are £300 worth (extended leather) with the gaiters. So if you could knock him down to £1,000 that makes the seats £700 which is cheap for Z3M.

But understood if you want to ready to go.

Are these m sport ? Or just sport seats ? My better half has had a hip replacement and can’t get on with these seats so toying with the idea of replacing with standard seats.
Those are Sport seats, maybe some people call them M Sport but not to be confused with Z3M or just M seats. There's standard (what you may change to), Sport (what you have) and Z3M/M which are higher versions than the Sport - probably less comfortable for your other half and very expensive & hard to obtain.

You will have a queue of people if you want to go ahead, offering a swap and waving money in your direction. Sport seats are always in demand, those are (in my view) the most desireable type (Classic leather) and I can see no obvious wear.

Thanks mrscalex, they are in very good condition. Looking at the build info for my car they have been added later. Perhaps when the lockdown eases I will put it out there and see what response I get. I have still got a bit of refurb to do On my Z and if I can sell for £X I can get my Pepper Pots Refurbished Plus new tyres maybe.

Thanks again for heads up

I'd be up for them myself. But have too many sets of seats currently waiting attention and no standard seats to offer you.

You'll have no shortage of takers. And yes, the cash should cover wheel refurbs and a couple of tyres at least.

I restore seats .....
when you say you "restore seats" does that include the foam internals, or just the leather work? I'm just curious as I've just stripped my drivers seat to try and figure out how to fix collapsed side foam. I must say having pulled it to bits, BMW are rubbish at building seats!

I do the full works. Including repairing the foam.

You can use tape on the collapsed part, or cut an old passenger side section out and spray glue it.
You can buy new foam and spray glue it, shape it with an electric knife, then a sanding and shaping tool.
Or simply order a new base from BMW for £150-£250 depending on the model, who they commissioned to make them and current demand.
Professional seat refurbishment is not cheap. If you replace leather it usually requires buying a complete or half hide.
I have done quite a few sets of M and sports seats.Filling and re colouring old leather works but is no match for new, genuine foam and new correct hide.

I've developed a different method which involves minimal letting in of foam and no sanding/shaping required. Then a new thin foam backed covering over the whole bolster area that consolidates the repair into the original. It makes for a very strong repair. Can't give any more detail otherwise I'll have to start shooting everyone who reads this =))
