Hello!

I have a Z3M, S50 engine!

My Vanos exhaust solenoid again leaking...I was replaced o-rings before 4500 km!I was again put Viton o-rings...One old o-ring(exhaust/ bigger) was bad !

Should I put a thicker o-rings? And how much thicker?
And is better silicone or viton?

I mean factory nitrile is bad...

And should I put silicon(or other) around the solenoid to not play?Or some shims?

Thanks!

No solenoid seals should leak after 4500km, even nitrile.

Where did you get the viton seals from? The smaller o-ring is metric, the larger one is imperial (BS021).

I don't know if the solenoids are the same, or if they are viton seals, so I can't advise on that.

I use seals supplied by an o-ring manufacturer, and have to be bought in packs of 100. The only S62 parts that I have used are the diaphragm springs.
