Hope you find what you want Sean. Will be looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Will gladly keep an eye out for you and try and do an initial inspection for anything in this neck of the woods to avoid your needless travel.

Btw I quite fancy the idea of a Dakar Z3M. Hangover from my Mk I Escort days I think when every other car was yellow :)

I suppose youve already searched Ebay, gumtree, autotrader and pistonheads. All over 22K for sub 80K miles, I was surprised to see even ones at 100K asking over 20K but theres a few at 90K for sub 16K.
Seen one advert for 82K stating lots of work undertaken what ever that may be 1998 BMW Z3M Roadster. Low Mikes. Estoril Blue. For Sale | Car And Classic Good luck with the hunt Sean.

Good luck with the search, I quite like higher mileage examples if they’ve been looked after, bought the roadster with almost 60k on it but very shortly it needed a vanos and lots of stuff had come to the end of its life and m tax is mostly double if you’re lucky lol.My coupe had 110k and everything done.......except paint ;)

Needs to be lower mileage to justify the time and money investment really. 80k would be my tops too. Preferably 60k.

If you are going to do a full restoration then you may as well buy a complete dog. Anything thats done wont be cheap regardless of mileage.

I'd certainly rather buy a 110k car that has fully documented nut and bolt job, over an 70k car with the odd receipt.

Agree but I think Shaun is thinking of a full rebuild so doubt he wants one that's been done. Imagine he wants one that's all oringinal running gear, knackered and cheap (ish)

Not if it’s all been done at 100k and loads cheaper
Whatever I get will need a full refurb, even a good one will not be good enough for what I have planned so Robert is on the button, it will be an indulgence for me,

Agree @Nodzed, I'm sure Sean will do a total rebuild whatever he buys. He's in the trade so it makes sense.
Yep, thats the plan, all running gear off and engine out, think Ill leave the loom in place after seeing Roberts exploits
