Wanted Z3M Gear Gaitor

I’ve got hold off a Z3M Centre console, but it did not have the gear gaitor.

As these are smaller than the normal gear gaiters due to the chrome ring around the hole I can not use my old one.

I am after a Z3M gear gaitor, doesn’t matter what colour or condition, as I need the fitting ring (which unfortunately I can’t seem to buy separately from BMW).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone managed to cut down and modify the standard one to get it to fit but I can't find who and where now. I had one from a fellow member which he made with a 3D printer and it fits great. You may be able to cut down a standard one and make it fit, I can imagine they may be hard to get hold of second hand. Hopefully Martin has one you can use.

You may be able to form one from a strip of aluminium, it won't be to bad a job

I have a old tatty gator but just checking it does not have the ///M stitching but your more than welcome to have it so you can use the base to play with if it’s not a straight fit.

@Jjim - I have the chrome surround which you are welcome to - not sure how many screws are on the surround - I think there is one missing. I also have a black gaitor - with a bit of TLC it should be fine - let me know - no charge on both items.

Thank you for the offer. Is the gaitor for a normal Z3 or for a Z3M?

As the Z3M has a smaller gaitor size as it has to fit inside the chrome surround that is only on the Z3M.
