Both of mine had hairline cracks and some scratches in various places.

I was able to plastic weld the cracks using some ABS plastic rods and then filled it with flexible filler but can't get the OEM finish I'm after with satin black aerosols.

Might give it to a paint shop but figured I'd ask on here in case someone has a pair in good condition sitting somewhere which might be cheaper than trying to save these.

Trying to resolve a similar problem. I am going to sand the hell out of the cracks now that I have epoxied and fibre reinforced them on the inside and I am going to opt for a vinyl wrap, should give a smooth finish if the side that's visible is sanded smooth.

Have a word with Robert, mrscalex who I think has done a lot of work on seats. Geoff

Chances of finding a pair almost zero I would think. It would mean someone was breaking a pair of Sport seats and that's very unusual. You could try this seller. I believe they bring the covers in from Germany so you could possibly ask them to sort something with whoever breaks them upstream. They don't have the best of feedback and I've seen additional comments on forums suggesting the same. I've made offers on covers before of say £20 off a £200 set and they've countered with a £2 discount. Very weird.

Realistically your best chance is finding suitable materials. Funnily enough I've just repaired a pair using fibreglass on the back. Although I have to admit I'm still making my mind up what the best top coat is - I'm not quite there yet. There are some excellent plastic paints out there but the sheen varies wildy and is not always as per the suggestion on the tin. Matt is more often satin. Satin is more often gloss. Also the stock nozzle doesn't usually have a very wide spray pattern and needs swapping for a compatible one off a panel spray can.

Cheers Robert, that's exactly my issue, like you've said it's very difficult to pick a good top coat that matches or is close to the OEM finish the backs had and while most people probably won't pay much attention I am very particular and it would annoy me to see it in a different shade of black.

That seller does look like he breaks some seats so will drop them a message to see if they have any backs in good condition.
