So over the last year I have quite a few bits around. One being a set of seats (pre facelift shape) So i thought why not tear them apart for you guys to see how it all works. Won't be an in-depth write up but hopefully enough to find useful.
So here is all the parts removed from the bottom of the passenger seat. (they will be listed in the for sale section)
*So the motors come out removing the Torx screws either side. x3 sometimes 4
*Seat frame has two 13mm bolts located at the rear which allow the frame to slide out.
*Two cables that connect the reclining mechanism just lift out.
*Side plastic housing has various torx and Phillips fittings (note seat needs to be out to access all)
I was also interested to see how you pull the leather seat apart. This was in aid of people who wanted to change the seat belt guides.
This stretchy material you see is actually sown to the leather. Once all the hooks have been lifted and plastic tabs un hooked you can slowly peal the leather back.
The rear seat is pulled tight and hooked together (see pictures)
Base
Length
Once unhooked you can start to pull the leather up. Note: the seat is glued where you bum sits and where your back makes contact. So care should be taken (No care this time round)
Likeso.
Also for refrence this is what the seat belt guides look like on the inside.
Hope this has been of some help.
