Hi

The above car is left hand drive on Spanish plates.
The main problem is the roof. It seems that the soft top frame may be sprained and there looks to have been
a weld at some time.
When closing the roof the top stops short of the windscreen and it take quite a lot of hand pressure to locate the securing handles into the securing slots.
I've exhausted garages in Spain that can possibly rectify the problem, but have found a
specialist in the U.K.
I'm not adverse to driving over from Spain, but before l do, is there anybody who could maybe suggest what the problem could be.
I also need some body trim parts such as door handle gaskets, windshield washer bonnet nozzles,
Radio aerial boot fitting ( Aerial attachment screw has snapped off ), Aerial with grommet and third braking light boot lens.
There doesn't seem to be anywhere to source these parts from a sole supplier.
Again any suggestions would be well appreciated.

Hi mate, the roof stopping short by a few inches is normal with a manual shut after the mechanism has done its job.

@spurs fan in a coupe @Synclare and @mrscalex are some of our resident breakers that may be able to help.

The roof tends to be harder to close as the fabric tightens up when it has been left folded down for any length of time.

The aerial can be fixed if you have the time and patience, there is a thread on here that shows how, but can't find it at the moment.

As stated, when left in the lowered position for any length of time it can be a real pig to latch onto the screen header rail. The hood material needs to stretch and re-learn it's position.
