You can fit Z4 callipers, but, you have to bleed them with the calliper dismounted from the carrier because the bleed screw is at the bottom. They are much less expensive than Z3 ones and work perfectly. I recall @Sean d did this and found out about the bleed screw.

Z4 caliper work very well, they have a bigger piston as well which adds more breaking power, they balance very well with 330 front calipers and discs, as Tony mentioned it took me weeks to realise you have to bleed them the other way up

ps. Just thinking about it you could fit them the other way up but it would mean rerouting the hose.

Do you also need to use the Z4 caliper mounting bracket with the Z4 Calipers on the Z3?

I dont think they fit, I think I ended up fitting the z4 calipers to the z3 brackets but I.m not 100% sure
