Z3 project

hello I am new to the forum, just sold my Z4 and now taking on a Z3 project, will probably need some guidance. First issue is that the back windows has popped out, any help appreciated in repair or sourcing a replacement.........cheers andy

Welcome Andy,

Depends on the condition of the current roof. There are a few places in the UK doing complete new hoods for the £350 plus region. Alternatively BMW will sell you a new window for about £230 is, or some of the eBay ones are reasonable at about £80-100.

You can buy the zips and try zipping it back on of course!

Plenty of choices!

Thx gas, I just found a German website www.123verdeck.de, 89€ for a replacement, looks ok, I will have a go at diy replacement, I have done MG Tf rear windows in the past,so I should stand a good chance of success!

Has the window come away from the zip or has the stitching that holds the roof part of the zip come away from the roof .

The black one I have in nearly new condition £200, at a push I might be able to help fit it one weekend.

Finished my Z4 project and sold on, decided to have ago at a Z3 project 1.9 1997 R reg, loved the Z4 and I will get another one after Z3 completed.

Thanks Andy, sorry didn't mean to be nosey mate! Looks just like mine, a 3.0 53 plate. Love the car, had a 2000 Z3 2.0 Auto before that. Is the MGF yours?, I saw you had done work on those in the past.
