Wanted Z3 pre-facelift 2.8 sill cover.

The drivers side sill cover is beyond repair . Looking for a good replacement, it's a 1998 2.8 pre- facelift .Thanks

I was looking for ages and all used ones have the same problem of rust at the ends.

in the end I bought new from Sopers BMW in Lincoln. Think they cost me about £120 a side, after forum discount.

If you are replacing them, then new is probably the best route to go.

I akso looked into fibreglass replicas, as someone in Holland (I think) was making them. Due to carriage charges he decided to no longer export :(

I think that would have been stormy-be from Belgium?

Fibre glass is an excellent option! What a pity s/he’s not exporting.

Imo GRP sills are a waste of money, the original sills have lasted 20 years with virtually no protection, fit new sills with under seal and wax oil and they will probably last 30 years with maintenance. By this time we might even have a proper classic bmw :D
