I saw this too, had an iPad in his hand and was doing something with the alarm. Im guessing it'll allow you to unlock the doors/set the alarm from the iPad.

@Connor Not a good idea.. as anything can be hacked these days.. and yet another alarm system with a remote remote.. Hmmmm All I have to think about is the great self driving car hacks... nothing like letting someone else take control of something that already works..

Peter Jones summed it up well when he said "WHY" in response to the guys idea for a security device on your phone. It could turn your wipers on, blower fan and radio on. But mainly for stopping someone from stealing your car as it wouldn't start unless you press the button on your phone.

Basically it was an app to do pretty much anything with your car. Start/stop, radio on/off, lock/unlock, set/unset alarm. As Peter Jones pointed out what happens when your battery is flat on your phone....!
