My Z3 runs perfectly. All of the electrics work. It starts first go. The converted (angel eyes) headlamps work. No problems whatsoever. So, I reverse it up my drive. Park up behind a locked wrought iron gate and leave it unlocked with the alarm switched off. The next morning, flat battery.
In previous years It has tended to blow fuses after being parked up over the winter. Usually the sidelights and remote/alarm fuses. This year I have used the car all winter, so no blown fuses. The battery was replaced in 2011, so it may be on the way out, but it looks as if this problem has happened before as the boot light bulb has been removed. I have had the car for 6 years without noticing the bulb was missing.
No that Spring is almost upon us, it is time to close the windows and doors and fill the car with fly spray (not forgetting the door mirrors). It will not make the car run any better but it will stop the alarm going off.
