Z3 MY SON'S DREAM CAR

I have 2000 Z3 2.8 I'm working on for my son it is one of his dream cars .He is diagnosed with CYSTIC FIBROSIS and is on a feeding tube. We live in north of Clearwater Beach I figured it would be nice for him to drive to the Beach on the days he feels well. I have been tracking down some shorts in the wiring in the lighting and have them fixed also going to rebuild the VANOS hear some rattling up front replace water pump and thermostat and replace the cylinder head temp senors and check the DISA .The Z overheating sometimes I have read that is a common problem with these cars I have 45 years experience working on cars but never a BWM so any help would be appreciated thank you

Hi Raymond hope you get the bugs sorted on the Z3 so your son can get to drive down to the beach, and a lovely beach it is too in Clearwater.
