Z3 mercedes kitcar in Japan

Nice, first kit I have seen that does not scream Z at you but there is no side shot with the roof up so this could be why.

The trouble with all these kits though is my eye is always drawn to the doors which just scream Z3 at me. And as hard top says the roof.

Must admit I'm much more interested in putting Z3s back to how they left the factory.

You're right. It's bordering on a sex change! Nothing wrong with that but not something most of us would consider.

Don't get me wrong, I like them but if I was going to do it, I would, as you say, have to change the doors and the roof line.
The thing is, the Z3 has become a cheap donor car and we all know our cars in the blink of an eye.
The general public would not have a clue though.....

Meant to also add, loose the role hoops and change the complete interior including the seats.
And that will be one very expensive sex change.

This needs proper merc metal hubcaps to look right.
And a tissue box on the parcel shelf, those old mercdrivers always seem to need tissues..

As you say a Z3 nut would (or even an ex Z3 nut) but the car looks very nice.

I can't help but seeing the irony of people using the Z3 as donor car to make a kit car when there are people spending money for this
