Can anyone recommend where I can obtain a good Z3 maintenance manual? I would prefer a hard copy if possible, otherwise something that I can download off-line. I have had a look at the knowledge base which is great but haven't found a downloadable offline link or wiring diagrams.
In addition is there somewhere I can obtain an easy to follow electrical wiring diagram for the UK/European Z3 showing the wiring for the rear fog lamps, fog lamp switch and associated relay? Any advice much appreciated. Nick

Thanks hardtop that's very useful,
I have downloaded two manuals. One (1999-06--BMW--Z3--6 Cylinders 2.5L MFI DOHC--32536603) seemed quite random content with no index; the other was quoted as being a workshop manual but proved to be electrical troubleshooting wiring diagrams but nevertheless very useful. To avoid trying to download multiple copies do you know if there is a good workshop manual with index that covers any of the six cylinder Z3 models? Thanks nick

Sorry N1ck, no I don't, I would have to do a wider search online to be honest.

The Haynes Manual is OK but is mostly based on the E36 with Z3 as secondary items, most things are covered and I found the wiring diagrams to be fine.

Not tried the Bentley Manual but there are loads of people on here who have.

This is the order that I use them...

BMW TIS (soft copy only), Clinton (hard copy), Haynes (US version) (hard copy), Bentley (hard copy).

The Bentley copy is still in very good condition (I'm the third owner) as I only opened it to find out what all the fuss was about. I still don't know.

Have a look in the "Resources" section of this forum. See the blue ribbon at the top of your screen. There are GB specific wiring diagrams in there as well as the more common NA versions.

Buy the Bentley workshop manual. It's very good.

Thanks Pingu,
I can't find any electrical wiring diagrams in my copy of BMW TIS?
Where do I obtain a Clinton manual?
Thanks Nick

Thanks for the suggestion I downloaded one of the troubleshooting electrical manuals but couldn't find the rear fog lamps so guess that I have got a NA version. Is there any way of identifying which are the GB/European versions without downloading them? Regards Nick

Wiring diagrams are a different source. You want an AG version, not NA.

Try looking at my "stuff" in the signature link.

Clinton is published by Haynes of America and is available at all good internet bookshops :) .

Can't believe that I missed the UK wiring diagrams. Quite clearly marked, thanks.
