The Zed 3 is a beautiful car as BMW made it, why try to change it to something it was never meant to be?

There's a write up on here somewhere from when a few of went down to see the owner to snag some spare parts. Really nice guy and has sheds full of Z3 parts, and some really interesting other vehicles.

the z3 is a good choice of donor, bolt on panels:), just buy a cheap one needing some work and hey presto a car with a difference:)

My thought exactly mate, the 250 doesn't require any bonding or welding, £4 k for the kit but I bet you would spend that again when it comes to peripherals.

It's not only the bolt on panels that makes the Z3 a good candidate for his kits, it's the fact he can pick donor 2.8/3.0 Z3's up for peanuts. It doesn't matter about the condition, as long as they generally work. Usually strips out the interiors as well and fits other seats (Rover 75 is a common source for his kits).

dead right there, where would you find these parts, it would be a labour of love and never actually be 100% complete in your eyes as there would always be that badge or grill hiding out there somewhere, but as Gaz says, there cheap donors.

what you need is a 507 kit, i have even seen z8 kits, but for me it would have to be an old style classic.

they look good, i would like to see one in the flesh.i note that they have changed the steering wheel for a classic looking one, is that a legal modification, with no airbag?
nice idea on the 507 kit littlefeller, that could be good
