Got the zed back today. Now it's raining.
That looks much better. Are you happy with the work carried out?
The spotty look was quite unique though!!
Happy with the work but it was raining when I picked it up but I have got to know the owner quite well recently. They even cleaned the engine bay as well.
I thought the spots/bubbles was original but you had to put them all back on after you washed it!!! and it was terrible to polish with all the hollows. :-bd
Pleased for you Brian.
Have a good look over it in the dry.
The rain masks any small marks.
Really pleased for you Brian. No more "support vehicle" then.
It looks good in the photos Brian. Thursday looks good for a bit of sun, you may be able to get out with the roof off.
Glad to see you have been reunited, Brian, Looking great, if you won't even notice the blue bra tape on yours!!!
Looking much better, must be glad to have the Zed back
We've had the rear window replaced today as that was split in the hail as well.
Really pleased with the results and the roof was cleaned as well. I was speaking with Tony from S.T.C.S in Coventry who did the repair and he says the roofs are waterproof naturally and do not need any other proofing on top as all it does is seals in the dirt and mould and doesn't let the roof breathe.
Any way I am very impressed with the work he did and would recommend to anybody around the midlands.
i would be impressed as well...it looks spot on :-bd
Spot on, spoke to a soft top specialist a while back who told me that the fibers in the roof tighten up when wet.
glad you got the zed back it looks great from the pics.
will look out for you both around sunny leicestershire
just a note on the roof i have done mine today and it come out great.
i used renovo black and renovo proofer.and i am pleased with the end result.
its got rid of all the fade marks over the support bars.
if you wanted to pop round and have a look you would both be most welcome.
if i can offer any tips on what i have found when i did ours be gald to help.
(the only thing that does go is the grey stiching but thats not the end of the world)
Thanks for the invite. PM sent
Pleased you have your zed back without its spots - the roofs work just the same as new zealand rugs for horses - in the dry they breath and in the wet the fibres close up and make them waterproof afterall, Mo's must be kept dry
sent a pm i think!!!!!!!!!!!
let me know if it does not make it
mick and caroline
No not got it yet.
If you click on small icon on left of screen under location, one is email and the other is pm, either will get me.
similar to a duck's a*** then? :-^
I've been doing a few more tidying jobs recently.
Chassis brace off de-rusted and repainted with stone chip, it was a scabby looking thing before.
Then I was really sad and removed the bonnet locks and cleaned them up. Ready to be refitted.
So i'm slowly working my way through it. Got the rocker cover gasket coming next week so will change that and have a run out with bubbles to Duxford.
looking good brian
great to see you at duxford
