Hi all. I hope you had a great weekend. My OEM Floormats are in decent shape on top but the rubber bottom has dried up and failed. It literally crumbles in your fingers. Not to mention, it makes a terrible mess.
I’m thinking I could refurbish myself somehow. I’m also falling in love with Cocomats. Where are the floor mat threads on our forum? I’d love to see pics and hear opinions about the floor mats you all are using or have researched/considered.
Best,
John

I just buy OEM mats when replacement needed. Have tried non original in the past and they last 12 months or so at best. Are you sure yours are OEM, not seen the Z3 emblem on such before?

I'm the opposite to @Ianmc! I prefer to go aftermarket, and in particular find the thickest, most luxurious carpets I can*. I used to do some moonlighting for a chauffeur company and could be found driving Bentley Flying Spurs and Rolls Royce Phantoms & Ghosts most weekends, and the carpets in those were thicker and more plush than my living room =)) Since then whenever I am replacing carpets in my cars, I will always try and match that.

*I should add, I haven't actually bought replacement mats yet for the Z3 yet - I have more pressing issues to sort first! - I suppose material options might be limited with it being a convertible and susceptible to rain!

Which were OEM? The ones in your car look like original BMW ones to me.

Thanks Tony. I thought they were OEM but had a sliver of doubt because the ones being sold as OEM from Turner/ECS do not have the Z3 embroidered on them. Both sites have them listed as backordered with no estimated return date.
I feel the Cocomats complement the retro look of the car. They also would add a playful bit of color to break up the monotone look of the interior. I know looks are subjective
I’m having a lot of fun with this. Thank you all.
I don’t see a definitive thread on floormats. Please post your pics.

When I bought my E89 2 years ago it didn't have any floor mats so I bought a pair from Sopers. They were around £60 which I thought was good.
