Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me please? The attached photo's will probably explain the issue better than me but the section of door card above the speaker grill on the drivers side has clearly been damp at some point and has warped slightly. It doesn't look very good and is visible through the window from the outside so I would really like to fix the problem before getting the car on the road. Is this a known/common problem and does anyone know whether this can be fixed or am I looking at replacing the door card in full (which seems a shame as the rest of it is in good condition)? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated...
Many thanks Jess
p.s apologies for the quality of the pictures, its hard to take a picture through glass without it reflecting the items behind you, I will try again tomorrow if these aren't good enough :)

If it’s just the material then I had the same issue. Not too sure how common the issue is, but mine felt more like shrinkage at this location. I needed to take the door card off anyway to fix the door tweeter, so combined a look at this at the same time. There’s not a great deal of material pinched in behind this location (to the plastic section) so possibly a bit of shrinkage from the sun and adhesive deteriorating - it comes unstuck? From memory it was only glued to the door card. My solution is possibly not the most professional but with the card off I glued it down again and held with clips for 24hrs. It looks a good deal better but I still see a little bit of warp. Time will tell if it holds. Worth a try before finding a whole door card.

@Jess has the door card been taken off and not put back on correctly? If I’m seeing the photos correctly - ? - that’s a large gap.

Most likely it wasn't removed correctly in the first place. Brings back memories of a Shed day?

Tony.

Hi @ktnez99 & @t-tony it had obviously been off before as there were some clips broken, the board around the tweeter had some damage & the electric wing mirror wasn't connected up! However we have removed the door card to repair the tweeter & reconnect the wing mirror & put it back so it should be fitted correctly now but its still as the pictures show :( I will try to get some better pictures later now that i have daylight to work with! :)
