Wanted Z3 3.15 LSD

Does anyone have a differential for a 99 reg 2.8 z3, I believe the ratio was 3.15 and a limited slip diff.

Hi Lee. These are quite hard to find and demand quite a premium. You planning to fix one ?

Hi pal, the one currently in the car has a knock when the changing gears and letting off. I think this is down to the release bearing needing replacing and whilst changing that part doesn’t seem to be that expensive trying to actually get to that part seems very labour intensive. What are your thoughts on this lee? I seem to remember that you had the same problem not so long back?

I can see your line of thought. Might be easier to drop the diff and take it to a diff specialist. That’s how I did my first diff and it cost £275. It will set you back near on £600 for a secondhand LSD.

Thank you for the guidance fella, a diff specialist it is as i knew replacements were hard to get hold of but didn’t realise it would cost quite as much for one!
