Help ....

Need asap a 3.0 half shaft, that's the differential to the wheel. They are not handed so either will do. After a little bit of struggling with the Z3 in the shed, we came across an issue where the CV joint seems to have seized. It is unfortunately unique to the 3.0.

If anybody happens to know of one being broken or of a company who can replace the said cv joint. It would be much appreciated. As soon as you mention BMW half shaft, they start laughing. BMW do not have any stock either.

Hope someone can help.

@Brian H thoughts ?

Every time I have changed a rear wheel bearing on a BMW it has been seized solid in the drive flange some I've managed to press out, others not. Those which did press out needed the splines cleaning with a triangular file before they would go back together.

Exactly this, I has a mare of a job putting mine back together, I ended up dressing the end of the spline and bingo it went back together,

The first went in fine. The second was the issue. @Lee @GazHyde will agree I am sure.

@Brian H Is a star... Part sourced and looking forward to getting 'Fi' back to full health soon. She's also getting a rear beam and diff bush overhaul at the same time.
