Z3 2.8 running fault,help please

Hi all
Z3 2.8 1998 build date reg in 99 has developed a running fault. Loss of power and the mil light is now on the dashboard. Plugged it in and it gave me a code of 77/119.
It cleared the mil light but short drive later came on again with the fault still evident. Garage is saying that a valve needs to be stripped and cleaned to fix it. No parts needed and will take about an hour, any thoughts or help please

a quick google of that error shows 119(77)-MDK throttle mechanical sticking so yes sounds like maybe the throttle body needs a clean and a hour sounds about right but maybe someone else will know more.

Had a similar problem on mine when I first had it, but cleaned mine myself with some carb and injector spray cleaner
