Z3 2.2i Sport Roadster

My son just bought this Z3 2.2i Sport Roadster at auction, and I'm in the process of sorting all the problems for him, I actualy own an E93 335i, so family now has 2 BMW convertibles

Bodywork is good and pretty much rust free, but lots of other issues that I've fixed:

• Repair broken wing mirror
• Replaced 2 ABS sensors (rear one took 10mins, front was a nightmare!)
• Free up stuck bonnet (that was fun) and fit all new catches and cables
• Replace BST to clear airbag fault
• Fit missing battery vent
• Replace broken OBD port
• Refit aerial with new grommet
• Replace Exhaust camshaft sensor
• Repair leaking hood
• Replace boot mat
• Major clean/valet
• Repair interior light dimmer
• Strip out old tracker and Parrot

Still have to replace the tilt sensor and check the exhaust that sounds like its blowing slightly at the front, and it should be good for the MOT (everything crossed)

Yeah, right. As if it's going to stop there. Said someone who's had a Z3 for quite a while now.

I have to admit it does worry me that it could turn in to a never ending job, especially as he intends to use it as his daily driver.

I have used mine as a daily driver for the last 6 years or so. Just fix things as required and keep on with the preventative maintenance; much cheaper than buying/running a new car (and greatly more fun!),

Definitely more fun than the 1.2 Clio he currently drives, and weirdly the insurance on the Z3 is considerably less which really makes no sense.
