Hopefully this forum can help me out with this, I am toying with the idea of selling my Z3 1.9 but have no idea what would be a reasonable price to put it up for as the prices seem to vary so much on here/ebay/autotrader.
I bought it last year with the intention of getting away with the wife for some nice weekends to the coast but due to all the lockdowns it didn't happen, now with a new baby on the way it looks unlikely to happen this year as well. It has spent most of its year in my ownership in the garage and really needs to be enjoyed for the lovely car that it is.
Z3 1.9 manual
72K miles (only done around 400 under my ownership)
Black leather
Sony aftermarket stereo
MOT due May 2021 - I will be getting it booked in next week and can't see why it would not pass.
When I bought it the previous owner had all new break lines and 4 new tyres done.
Under my ownership -
New battery
New spark plugs
New panel filter
Repaired ABS module
New disks & pad front and rear
Replaced a handful of inlet hoses
Replacement drivers wing mirror with aftermarket plastic one (sprayed to match)
Body work and interior is in generally good condition the odd age related mark and scratch but nothing unexpected for a 23 year old car, no obvious rust to be seen.
I would love to keep hold of it but seems pointless to renew the insurance for it to sit in the garage and get driven once every so often.
What would people think is a sensible price to advertise it for, my gut says somewhere between £3-3.5K based on the varying prices I have seen. Too much? Not enough?
Also if anyone is interested please feel free to contact me.
Thanks Arran
