Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a 1997 1.9 Roadster and its a non runner. The car does crank, but there is no fuel delivery or spark. I have checked the fuel pump and it is working. I have also checked fuses and they all seam to be fine. I think it could be an immobilizer issue, however when I try to diagnose with a scanner there is a warning message telling me that there is no power coming through the 20 pin OBD 1 port. For some reason my Z3 doesn't have any OBD 2 ports so I have had to buy an adapter. I have also tried cleaning the pins on the Port. I have also tried removing the key chip and taping it to the key cylinder.
Does any one have any idea what I can do to fix the issue? Do I need a new immobilizer unit?
Any help would be much appreciated
