I've done a bit of interior cleaning on the broomstick.
Everywhere hands and fingers go, looked a bit dull, but a bit shiny at the same time ? So I got going with some surgical spirit 99%, ( rubbing alcohol, to you colonials).
The result is dramatic, the steering wheel went all sticky at first, but I kept on rubbing it until the stickiness came off, the cloth was very black, the steering wheel is now matt, with lovely coloured stitching,
Same went for the gear knob. The indicator and wiper stalks are now shiny, and have sharp, white markings on them, not ivory on a matt background.
I'm hoping most of the horrible blackness on the cloths was previous cleaning products used over the last 17 years !!
When I get chance, I'll give all the interior a going over with it, the result is quite surprising, (or stomach churning).
