Way back in 1992 when I had my own garage we were robbed one Sunday evening. I know the year because it was the year our Carla was diagnosed with Leukaemia.
As an interim settlement with the Insurance we got enough to buy some new tools.
The first thing I replaced was my Snap-On top box.
I tried to unlock it today and the key wouldn't turn the lock. Can't see why.

It was only slightly worn
Luckily I still had the "spare" qhich was as new.

I guess I'll have to track down the local dealer and buy a spare.

Tony.

ps. Mind you of this one lasts 31 years, maybe not.

Bit like me these days Tony, a bit worn around the edges and not as sharp as I once was. I do recall though,if my memory serves me well, that the Snap-on tools calendars were much sort after in days gone by.

Snap-on had a lifetime gaurantee on tools didnt they ? Return a worn out tool they'd replace it free of charge. Wonder if that applies to keys ?

Broken tools were replaced without question but worn out ones always debatable.

Tony.
