I posted in the wanted section a while ago as I am in need of a Yaw sensor.

A couple of questions for those more knowledgeable than me...

1. Would an E46 Yaw sensor do the trick? I have seen some accounts onlime that seen to think it would

2. Also seen some accounts is there being an old and newer part number... anyone had any experience?

New OEM part is ridiculous money... please help!

The E46 and Z4 sensor looks completely different yet BMW cannot supply the original Z3 parts and list the E46 one as its replacement. The plug might be the same and it might work, but it bolts to the car differently.

Do you have the part number? Try a search on eBay or Google for secondhand one.

Here’s one:

Take a look at the Realoem parts site using your cars Last 7 of the Vin Number, then find the Yaw Sensor in the diagrams click on the part number and it will show what models the sensor was fitted to.

The old Z3 DSC sensor has been discontinued. The Z3 is an E36 but later ones used increasing numbers of E46 hardware, especially M54 cars.
