Don't know where he got them from, though I think he did say once, many moons ago.
Bloke lives in Hong Kong.

Look at these wheels!! What are they?
From his FB page......

They will not fit the Z///M and my Wire Wheels were custom made for my 1998 Prefacelift 2.8 and are 17" Staggered width with backspace/off set to get the wheel rims flush with the wheel arches without spacers. Dayton do many styles of wire wheels and I chose the ones with the spokes on the outer rim (cross lace) as look more traditional classic roadster. Spokes on the inner rim (reverse spokes) look too much like a 'ZZ Top Hot Rod' for my taste. I looked at three Wire Wheel Companies and Dayton's looked the best and were also the cheapest by a considerable margin. Dayton will ask you to go through one of their distributors unless you live in an area/Country were they do not have, like out here in Hong Kong so I was able to deal directly with Dayton. Very helpful People there.

Really like the retro look. Seem to be bolt on rather than splines, presumably with spinners attached in some way. Can't see a price, guess around £500 each?

You can buy these wheels now for the zed. Me and gaz looked into it last year. The car company called Nubodi who makes classic cars from the Z3 chassis has a good supplier.

Pram wheels! Ugh! Try cleaning them. I also think those spinners would be illegal in the UK on a car of the age a Z3. They are allowed on old MGs and the like because that's what they came with, but even MG had to change to large hex nuts towards the end of production.

If you watch classic car racing try and get a look at a full frontal view of a car with wire wheels cornering hard. The distortion of the wheel is a sight to behold.

You may have gathered that I don't like wire wheels. When I bought my MGB about the only thing I specified was that it must not have them.

Slightly off topic but love the leather trimmed roll bars, do like the factory wind deflector though so was thinking of colour coding the leatherette parts of it?
