As you may have seen, I have been abit busy at the shed with applying PPF to a few Z3/Z4 headlights. So I thought would do a little post about PPF.

What are the benefits of PPF?

- Protects your headlights from chips and scratches.
- Self heals
- Protects Against UV Degredation.
- Protects Against Road Debris.
- Enhances Appearance of the Vehicle.
- Cost-effective Compared to Other Forms of Protection.
- Increases Resale Value.
- Transparent PPF is virtually invisible

PPF can be applied all over a vehicle and it doesn’t just come in clear. You can now get Matt clear, carbon fibre and coloured PPF.

According to 3M PPF if applied correctly will have a lifespan of 5-10 years!

Feel free to ask any questions!

You can tint your rear lights but you have to make sure it’s not to dark of a tint. You need to be able to see the lights clearly when on! 😁

I will answer that .
Its all about visible light and how much is there
The wording in the mot manual is to fail for the testable rear lamps the light output would need to be significantly and obviously reduced.
The rear reflectors on z3 are built into light they still need to be reflective.
Remember though mot is the basic minimum and only a small section of the road traffic act possibility of still getting done at roadside.

Long and short is yes you can tint them but there comes a point when how much becomes too much and could make the vehicle hard to see in poor weather or brake lights and indicators hard to see from behind in bright sunshine 🌞

And, as usual, left to the discretion of the individual tester. Which explains why yet again people can, and do say, "my tester passes it"
