Recent acquisition has discoloured plastic rocker and exhaust covers ... is it safe or practical to wrap or do I replace ?

I would think it should be possible to polish those marks out. I would be a harsh environment for a wrap.

Tried mr sheen, back to black ... sadly nothing works, can’t tell if it’s salt stains or something else !

Might be worth trying something slightly abrasive on a bit. Toothpaste with added bicarbonate of soda might shift the white marks. It improved my headlights after I saw some videos on YouTube. If the marks are alkaline like limescale vinegar should work

Looks like someone let a heavy degreaser dry onto them.
Might be able to use a mild abrasive to shift the marks as suggested above.
