We had a 3 night break in Wales this week, stayed in a lovely "upside down" cottage in Dolgellau.
Which was a good base to do a bit of exploring from, although we had seen a fair bit of that area, having stayed at @miller1098's fantastic "y chapel" a few times.
This was the view from the place we stayed in. The clouds are hiding some of the higher mountains.

The drive there on Monday was fantastic, nice dry weather and roofs down .
A stop at the Ponderosa on the horse shoe pass for a cuppa.

Tuesday we had a cruise around the Elan Valley. After a wet start after heavy rain all night, the weather improved so we got the roof down for most of the day :).

Wednesday the weather was cold and wet, so we had a break from driving all day and went on the Festiniog railway, which is a great experience :).
I have to say Wales has some excellent road surfaces, even the B roads were mostly well surfaced with no sunken man hole covers to wreck the tyres and suspension. That soon changes when you get back into England though .
Another really enjoyable trip in wales, didn't want to come back, but all good things must come to an end......till next time :D.

Cheers for sharing Steve, glad you all had a great time mate. A few days off work, and driving a Zed, what's not to enjoy!

Tony.

Perhaps that's why they're not as potholed as ours mate, a bit less traffic?

Tony.

Possibly Tony but they seem to have totally resurfaced a lot of roads, rather than just throw some loose tarmac in the craters like they do round here.
